Brad Jones Racing are excited to reveal the Elite Roads Racing Supercar for the Townsville 400 event, with the black, red and white livery set to shine in front of the always enthusiastic North Queensland crowd.
As we pass the half-way mark in the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Nick Percat sits 8th in the championship. Nick has proven himself as a consistent performer, with twelve top ten finishes from the seven rounds so far.
Elite Roads is a Melbourne-based road construction company with a full suite of services, covering road rehabilitation, civil contracting, profiling, and the supply and lay of asphalt. Elite Roads manage a wide range of projects for a diverse and loyal customer base.
The Elite Roads partnership is another coup for the Brad Jones Racing team, as they boost Elite Roads into the spotlight for their first time in the Supercars Championship.
The Elite Roads team have a passion for motorsport and know the road to success is achieved through team-work, true grit and determination. These values align with what the Brad Jones Racing team are all about, so the partnership was an easy match for the highly-driven team.
Nick Percat said “As a local, I get to see some of the construction and work that Elite Roads are doing in Melbourne. When you see the brand in so many locations, you know they are doing something right.”
“Deon and the team have a passion for motorsport, and for them to support us in Supercars for the Townsville event is fantastic. They have been so excited for us to reveal the Elite Roads Racing Supercar.”
“Townsville is a technical circuit, and everyone is well aware by now that I love street circuits. They are the most challenging for a driver as you are pushing it to the limit lap after lap with no room for error. The kerbs through the back end of the circuit are an awesome combination, testing both driver and Supercar.”
Managing Director of Elite Roads Deon Coote is excited about Elite Roads first foray into Supercars. “My dad followed Brad Jones when he raced, so I grew up learning a lot about Supercars and the Brad Jones team. To have this connection with the team now is pretty special for us. We also partner with the Honda Motorcycle team so there is no doubting our passion for motorsport. Elite Roads are proud to be associated with Brad Jones Racing. We wish them and Nick all the success at Townsville.”
“We appreciate the importance of teamwork and in motorsport the need for a great team is integral to the overall results. It’s the same in our business, everyone needs to have a vested interest in seeing it through and works towards the same goal.”
Deon concluded “The development of roads throughout Australia is massive, our population continues to grow which means the current roads are being used more and the demand for new roads is increasing. Supercars is a great platform to create awareness for Elite Roads.”
The black, red and white livery will be seen on track from Friday the 4th of July, with two practice sessions to get the weekend underway. Coverage of the Townsville event will be LIVE on FOX Sports and Channel Ten across the weekend. Check your local guides for times and be sure to tune in to see Nick Percat and the Elite Roads Supercar.
