Western Roads Upgrade – Palmers Road – Project 2
Client: Winslow Infrastructure
Completion: May 2020 – Jan 2021

More than 20,000 cars and trucks rely on Palmers Road every day.

It provides important access to the Western Freeway in Truganina and the Princes Freeway in Williams Landing. It also connects residents in Melbourne’s growing outer west to Williams Landing shopping centre, bus services and the train station.

Our 2M profilers were engaged to cut old roads targeted for upgrades whilst our paving crews have been laying an average of 1,000T worth of asphalt per shift. We were able to utilize our 3D paving technology to ensure that Palmers Road was laid to precision.





Western Roads Upgrade – Duncans Road – Project 8
Client: WBHOI
Completion: Jan 2020 – Dec 2020

More than 11,000 cars and trucks use the Duncans Road interchange every day, with this number surging during events in the tourism precinct. The interchange is a key route for a number of growing suburbs, connecting you to the Werribee town centre and Wyndham Harbour.

The previous bridge was opened in 1961 and struggled with today’s traffic volumes. Additionally, there was no outbound freeway exit and no inbound freeway entrance to and from Geelong.

The upgrade provides better traffic flow, so you can get to where you need to be sooner and safer.

Elite Roads was engaged to complete the pavement aspect of this project. We paved 17,000 Tonnes worth of asphalt across the length of this project and delivered this project right on schedule.



Nicholson St Tram works
Client: Coleman Rail
Completion: January 2020

Route 96 is Melbourne’s businest tram line. New raised stops along the route will enable everyone, including people who are vision impaired or using wheelchairs, prams and other mobility aids, to get on and off the tram safely and easily.  Elite Roads delivered asphalt works on newly repaired tram track in delivery of this project.


Frankston Line LXRA Station Upgrades
Client: Southern Program Alliance
Completion: Ongoing works at Cheltenham, Carrum, Mentone and Chelsea stations

The past 12 months has seen us working with Southern Program Alliance to deliver asphalt works along the Frankston line in the delivery of Level Crossing Removal projects.

As of August 2020 we have delivered works on the Cheltenham and Carrum station level crossing projects. We are currently busy paving roads and carparks for both Mentone and Chelsea stations.



Wyndham City Council ongoing maintenance

Elite Roads has been working closely with Wyndham City Council since 2017 to keep council roads well maintained. Our shared Environmental and Sustainability targets have aligned in a number of small projects and see successful results in the trialling of road resurfacing treatments using reclaimed plastics, rubber, steel mill slag and asphalt.


Metro Tunnel Project, St Kilda
Client: Coleman Rail
Completion: October 2019

Two tunnel boring machines Millie and Alice were launched separately from Anzac Station in May 2020 and have begun tunnelling towards the eastern tunnel entrance in South Yarra. Elite Roads worked to repair St Kilda Road once the boring machines had been launched to return one of Melbourne’s busiest roads back to optimum capacity.


Netball & Tennis Court Reconstruction, Ballan
Client: Moorabool Shire Council
Completion: March 2020

Elite Roads are currently engaged in the complete reconstruction of the newly designed Netball & Tennis facilities at the Ballan Recreation Reserve, Ballan.
Works include demolition, drainage, earthworks, asphalt, footpaths, kerb, sports furniture, line marking, lighting and acrylic surfacing – resulting in an updated facility including four Tennis courts & two Netball courts.


Salta Nexus Industrial Estate – Haulotte Distribution Centre, Dandenong South
Client: Q Design + Construct
Completion: December 2019

Elite Roads are currently undergoing Civil works with Q Design + Construct as a part of their Salta Nexus Industrial Estate development – Providing earthworks, asphalt, drainage, kerbing, signage and line marking for the new Haulotte Distribution Centre.
A significant site in Salta’s Inland Port strategy, the 177-hectare Nexus Industrial Estate in Dandenong South, is earmarked to be a major receiving, consolidation and distribution point for containerised freight in the South East.


Beach Street West Streetscape Upgrade

Client: Frankston City Council
Completion: July 2019

Elite Roads was contracted to complete the Beach Street West redevelopment, which included a full reconstruction of the carpark, footpaths, beautification of the streetscape furniture and landscaping.
Elite Roads developed a plan to minimise disruption shop frontages and traffic movement while retaining pedestrian access to local shops and the nearby medical precinct throughout the duration of the build.
Works included demolition, drainage, earthworks, pavements, lighting, signage, asphalt, line marking, furniture and landscaping .


Seaford North Reserve Carpark

Client: Frankston City Council

Completion: July 2019

Elite Roads was engaged to provide the entire reconstruction of the Seaford North Reserve Carpark, providing parking spaces for 150 vehicles, increased pedestrian and disabled access to parking areas, sporting and recreational facilities.
With a plan completing the works in 2 stages, usability of the space to service locals was maintained as works including demolition, drainage, pavements, asphalt, earthworks, signage, line marking and other associated works.






Alendale Road Construction, Diamond Creek
Client: Nillumbik Shire Council
Completion: July 2019

Elite Roads was contracted to undertake the Allendale Road construction, transforming the unsealed local road into completed sealed road.Works included earthworks, asphalt, kerb, traffic calming, drainage, rockwork, line marking, signage and lighting.The project was planned and completed allowing local traffic unrestricted access to potentially effected properties despite inclement weather and complete reconstruction of the road.
