HOW WE WORK

OUR WORK PRACTICES ARE UNDERPINNED BY THREE CORE IDELOLGIES WHICH ENSURE OUR PEOPLE AND THE COMMUNITY ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF HOW WE WORK.

  • INNOVATION

Innovation to Elite Roads means finding ways to work safer or smarter and inserting these practices into the way we deliver our services. We believe there are always ways to improve our practices to benefit our people and stakeholders. Machine control technology is one example of how Elite Roads delivers innovative approaches to our customers. Our in-house survey team work with our clients to understand their quality requirements and build tailored approaches to achieve these requirements with the assistance of our GPS machine control technology fitted to our pavers, profilers and excavators.
In short, this simply means we use technology to consistently build our projects to scope and to design right the first time. Innovation is at the core of our safety culture as well. You will notice that our machines are fitted with exclusion zone lighting to ensure safe working practices during night works.

  • SUSTAINABILITY

Let’s face it, the construction industry contributes to our national carbon footprint. The way we plan the sustainable delivery of our work is a key focus when we are looking at a job. We understand that the way we deliver our services has an impact of the communities we work with.

Our head office runs off solar electricity, our machines on site utilise recycled rainwater, our machines are fitted with carbon reducing engines, we recycle all our profiling waste back into future asphalt mixes and our asphalt partners run their plants using renewable energy sources.

Asphalt is a fantastic solution to the waste crisis we have in this country. Elite Roads has been actively working with both Wyndham City Council and the City of Melbourne to lay a variety of new asphalt products that have been specifically designed with sustainability as the key driver. These asphalt mixes are made by recycling plastic waste, glass and old tyres into the mixes. In addition to containing high volumes of repurposed waste, these mixes are produced at our plants using lower temperatures to develop the mix. This ultimately means a reduction in embodied carbon, a bi-product of the production of asphalt.

  • INCLUSIVENESS

Inclusiveness simply means giving every person an equal opportunity to succeed within Elite Roads. That is what we believe and that is what we practice – plain & simple. Our people are ultimately our brand. We love championing new people who are looking to join our trades and supporting them with building their careers within Elite Roads. We are driven through teamwork and collaboration throughout every level of our organisation. If you think you are passionate about exploring a career in asphalt, profiling, trucking or civil construction we would love to hear from you.
