OUR VALUES

At Elite Roads, how we work is just as important as what we deliver. Our approach is built on three core principles: innovation and safety, inclusivity and sustainability. These guide every decision we make and are reflected in the culture we've built over 15 years in the industry.

INNOVATION & SAFETY

At Elite Roads, innovation and safety go hand in hand. We continuously refine our practices and invest in technology that makes our work safer, more precise and more efficient for our team and our clients.

Our in-house survey team collaborates with clients to understand their requirements, developing customised solutions using GPS machine control technology on our pavers, profilers, and excavators. This ensures precision and adherence to project scope from the outset.

Exclusion zone lighting on our machines enhances safety during night operations, and our commitment to innovation extends to minimising our environmental impact through sustainable practices at every stage.

INCLUSIVITY

At Elite Roads, inclusivity means ensuring equal opportunities for everyone to thrive. We support new talent entering the trades and help them build rewarding careers, while fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration at every level of our organisation.

We are proud to have a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we work in. Our teams include people from many different cultural backgrounds and nationalities, and we actively welcome people of all genders across all roles on site and in the office. From project engineers to paving crews, we believe the best teams are built on diversity of experience, background and perspective.

Our commitment to inclusivity also extends to how we procure. We actively prioritise partnerships with Indigenous businesses in Victoria, building robust local supply chains that contribute directly to the economic development of our communities.

SUSTAINABILITY

The construction industry has a significant impact on our national carbon footprint, and Elite Roads is committed to doing our part. Our head office operates on solar power, our site machinery uses recycled rainwater, and our equipment is fitted with carbon-reducing engines. We also recycle profiling waste back into future asphalt mixes, reducing landfill and raw material consumption.

We prioritise high-recycled-content materials in our procurement and support renewable energy through our supply partner's participation in the MREP2 scheme, which draws wind-generated electricity from Ballan wind farms. In collaboration with Wyndham City Council and the City of Melbourne, we produce asphalt mixes incorporating recycled plastic, glass and old tyres, manufactured at lower temperatures to further reduce embodied carbon.

Our approach results in a reduction of 6 to 7 kg of CO2 equivalent per tonne of asphalt produced, as calculated using the AfPA LCA calculator.
